Eligibility Criteria:

  • These opportunities are available to new, first-year undergraduate students who begin at CSU during the spring or fall entry terms.
  • These programs are based on your final high school grades and are awarded annually to students who are registered for 12 credits or more each semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Application Procedure:

Colorado State University supports multiple student types, including freshman (first-year) and transfer students.

  • Apply as an international first-year freshman if you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and you’ve never attended university or all university credit you earned was prior to secondary school (high school) completion.
  • Apply as an international transfer if you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident AND you’ve enrolled in university credits since completing secondary school (high school).

UNDERGRADUATE DIRECT AND CONDITIONAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

To support student success, we require all students whose first language is not English to demonstrate a high level of English proficiency regardless of their citizenship. Applicants from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom whose first language is English are exempt from this requirement.

TOEFL, PTE Academic or IELTS Academic results are the preferred indicators of English proficiency. For applicants seeking direct admission, the requirements are as follows:
