Eligibility:

You’re eligible if you:

  • have received an offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program that starts in Semester 2, 2022
  • met the academic and English Language requirement for your chosen program of study
  • live in Australia and are currently on a valid Bridging Visa ‘E’ (subclass 050), Temporary Protection Visa (subclass 785) or a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (subclass 790).

About this scholarship:

UQ is offering up to 8 scholarships for students from refugee or asylum seeker backgrounds. The Refugee and Humanitarian Scholarship demonstrates UQ’s commitment to champion diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity.

The scholarship is available to refugees residing in Australia who are on a Bridging Visa E, Temporary Protection Visa or a Safe Haven Enterprise Visa. The scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver and an $8,000 annual living stipend to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs.
