Eligibility:

You're eligible if you:

are a domestic student
are enrolled or you intend to enrol in the Bachelor of Equine Science (Honours)
do not hold a scholarship that the Associate Dean (Academic) considers to be similar
have not received the scholarship previously while enrolled in the current program
apply by the closing date for applications.

Selection criteria:

The committee will rank eligible applicants in order of merit based on their:

financial circumstances, as evidenced by supporting documentation
academic achievement in their undergraduate program
an interest in equine science and experience working with horses
personal qualities, including leadership potential, community service and engagement
any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to the applicant’s future professional success.

This scholarship was established in 2013 to recognise the life and passions of Maria Vasas and is maintained by philanthropic gifts from the Maria Vasas Foundation.
