Overall we can recieve 7 volunteers via the ESC: One placement is situated in a homework school in EUPEN (working with children with migration background) and the other four are situated in the ZFP primary schools in ST. VITH, BÜTGENBACH and in the ZFP primary school EUPEN (working with children with a disabilities). The last ones are in our ZFP secondary school and boarding school (working with youngsters with disabilities). We are situated in East Belgium, in the middle of Europe. In the North, it borders to Germany and the Netherlands, in the South to Luxemburg, in the West to France. This diversity of languages and cultures has always had an positiv impact on the rich cultural life in East Belgium. People are mostly bilingual (German-French). St. Vith is located in a rural area, close to Luxembourg, Eupen is rather a small town close to Germany and the Netherlands. Very good knowledge of the German language is a must! We don't want to impose another barrier to our public.
