Eligibility:

You're eligible if you:

  • are a UQ student who has studied at least 2 units of Japanese courses
  • are an Australian citizen
  • have been accepted into an exchange program at a Japanese university
  • have not previously undertaken Japanese language studies in Japan

Selection criteria:

We'll consider:

  • your GPA in the Japanese courses you have studied
  • your financial need as demonstrated via your application
  • how you will benefit from exposure to the language and the cultural exchange while in Japan via a statement in your application

About this scholarship:

Established in 1994 and maintained by the income from a fund donated by the Brisbane Homestay and Friendship Association.
