Eligibility:

Eligible cardiovascular research areas include any area of fundamental, clinical, or public health study where the dominant focus is related to expanding knowledge in cardiovascular biology or disease.

To be eligible, you must:

Currently be admitted to a Queensland university as a PhD student; AND
Be a current QCVRN member, AND
Be no further than one (1) year FTE into your PhD on commencing with the QCVRN Top Up scholarship; AND
Hold a primary scholarship (for example, a Research Training Program scholarship or other primary scholarship of similar value); AND
Have a university supervisor who is willing and able to supervise you; AND
Conduct the research activities primarily in Queensland.

Selection criteria:

Applications will be assessed on quality and relevance of student project to the field of cardiovascular biology and disease, academic track record, and reference letter of support.
