The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)'s Corporate National Internship Program (CHNIP) offers students an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on work experience. Since 1992, the HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) has recruited students for paid summer- and semester-long internships at federal agencies and private corporations in Washington, D.C. and throughout the country. These internship programs give students direct experience in a diverse array of careers in the federal and corporate sectors. CHNIP partners with leading corporations nationwide to assist in recruiting diverse talent from HACU member colleges and universities. The process is very competitive but rewarding, as many internships lead to full-time roles. Limited positions are available for recent graduates and students must have completed their first year of undergraduate studies. CHNIP is open to all majors, though many of the corporate partners look for students with backgrounds in STEM, business, and communications. Internships are available nationwide. While most are in-person, there are some opportunities available in a virtual or hybrid format. Typically, summer internships will take place between June and August, though some opportunities are available during the fall and spring terms. For this reason, applications are accepted on a rolling basis. CHNIP Interns receive: round-trip airfare to and from internship location for non-local students, if internship is in-person assistance to locate and secure housing during the internship for non-local students, if internship is in-person support from HACU Student Services Staff: mock interviews, resume building tips, and mentorship

Discipline: Applied Arts, Business, Education, Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM), Visual and Performing Arts
