The University College Cork is pleased to announce Funded PhD Position in Digital Interventions Against Cancer Misinformation (DIAM) Project for EU and Non-EU students to complete a research degree program.

The DIAM Project stands at the forefront of efforts to counteract the detrimental impact of misinformation on cancer prevention, screening, and treatment decisions. With the proliferation of digital tools such as discussion boards, apps, and websites, misinformation has become alarmingly widespread. The primary aim of this program is to develop and test innovative digital interventions rooted in psychological research, empowering both cancer patients and broader communities to navigate and mitigate the effects of misinformation.The University College Cork (UCC) is an esteemed institution with a rich history dating back over 170 years. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility countries: EU and Non-EU
Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by University College Cork
Admissible Criteria:
Minimum 2:1 honors degree (or equivalent) in psychology
Experience in experimental psychology/cognitive science preferred
Motivated, detail-oriented, with a keen interest in applied research
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in English (for non-native speakers: IELTS minimum 6.5)
