This 42 or 21 days summer school offers participants to master skills in written and oral modern Armenian, reading and interpreting Armenian texts from different periods as well as rapidly deepening their knowledge in colloquial Armenian.
During the summer school, several cultural trips will be offered, which will transform your stay in Armenia into an unforgettable, academically oriented endeavor.
On the first day (July 07, Sunday) the program will be launched in Garni, built by King Tiridates I in the first century AD as a temple to the god Mithra/Mihr. In the evening the group will travel to Yerevan for an opening dinner.
Classes will start on July 8th and will include lectures, seminars, and presentations. Once a week classes of Armenian language will be followed by a lecture on different topics of Armenian linguistics, literature, and history.

The participation fee is 1790 USD for the 3 weeks program and 3590 USD for the 6 weeks program.
Application deadline is April 20, 2019.
Registered participants should send 100% of the participation fee before May 20, 2019, online or via a wire bank transfer.
This price includes reading and writing materials, coffee breaks.
We will not cover Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, insurance costs, visa costs, travel costs to Armenia, from Armenia and in Armenia, any costs of accompanying friends or family members.
There are several scholarships available to participate in ASPIRANTUM Armenian language summer school.

The Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is giving the possibility to qualified students, academics and researchers in Armenian Studies to participate in activities related to their field of studies, encouraging academic interaction and exchange of knowledge and ideas. The maximum grant amount will be based on proposals received, but shall not exceed 5,000 USD.
Each participant of the summer school may find other sources of financial aid from their own University/School/Community or other relevant foundations.
ASPIRANTUM will provide applicants with an official letter of invitation to support scholarship and travel grant applications.
