EdX, in collaboration with Harvard University, offers a free online course on ancient Egyptian art and archeology. In this course the learners will explore archeology, history, art, hieroglyphics and puzzles surrounding the famous Egyptian pyramids in Giza. This introductory course will explore the art, archeology and history surrounding the Giza pyramids. They will learn about Egyptian pharaohs and senior officials of the pyramids. They will discover more about the great 20th century missions, learn more about Egyptology and the impact of sophisticated digital tools such as 3D modeling.
The course will be given by Peter De Manuelan, Professor of Egyptology at Harvard University.
