EdX offers this free online introductory course on Computer Graphics for those who want to learn how to create 3D images with different programs. Computer graphics are now an essential part of our lives. They are found in movies, games, computer-aided design, virtual reality simulation, and even product photography. This introductory course teaches about the basics of computer graphics that apply to all the domains that surround us and become a regular thing to watch every day.
About the course:
Throughout the course, participants will learn how computer images can be created to show three-dimensional scenes, including flying objects, creating real-time scenes, and creating very realistic images using raytracing or ray tracing. You will also learn how to use graphics programming languages such as OpenGL and GLSL to create your own scenes, allowing you to manipulate and manipulate 3D scenes. The course will also teach you how to create highly realistic images with reflections and shadows using ray tracing. Course participants will explore four parts, each with a simple assignment in individual programming:
[1] Overview of the topic and a few basic mathematical problems.
[2] Transitions.
[3] OpenGL lighting.
[4] Raytracing or ray tracing.
This course is provided by the University of California and will last for 6 weeks, where you must make an effort of 6 to 12 hours per week. This free course is only available in English and Chinese.
Course Outcomes:
By the end of this course you will learn about the basic concepts of 3D graphics, you will also be able to write and develop programs that create images of a 3D scene with lighting, and you will learn about the basics of graphics programming using OpenGL and GLSL software.
This is a free course but participants can get an accredited certificate to prove their achievement for $ 99.
