AIESEC offers an internship to experience the hotel industry in a traditional Japanese hotel. The intern will experience working at a traditional Japanese hotel (Kagetsu) and learn Japanese hospitality, interpret for foreign travelers, experience Japanese culture by visiting famous sights in Yamanashi (winery, Samurai Shingen, nature, fruits, hot springs), and advertising the charm of Yamanashi once a week through official website and SNS . 

Responsibilities:

  • From Day 1, the staff will explain the overview of the customer services at the hotel.
  • Experience and learn the hospitality in Japan.
  • Visit many sightseeing spots in Yamanashi Prefecture once a month.
  • Think about charms of Yamanashi Prefecture from the point of foreigners.
  • Write a blog once in 2 weeks to tell sightseeing spots in Yamanashi Prefecture.
  • Post Instagram twice a week to tell sightseeing spots in Yamanashi Prefecture.

  • Adaptability.

Benefits:

During the training period, the intern will receive:

  • A stipend of 80,000 JPY  per month.
  • Computer.
  • Accommodation is provided and covered.
  • Food will be provided (2 meals per day).
  • Health Insurance: Intern must have valid medical insurance for his duration in Japan. He must have his insurance ready before arriving in Japan. Recommended Insurance item: Sickness Insurance, Death Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance, and Personal Liability Insurance.

VISA:

The intern will travel to Japan by “Short-Stay “ VISA( Category as TEMPORARY VISITOR) in Global Talent program. AIESEC will provide the intern with an invitation letter and the documents by which he can apply for a short-stay VISA and he will get it easily by the invitation letter. 

Note: The intern must understand the following in accordance with VISA rules: 

  • Intern need to submit a certificate of student status or a job offer certificate, which mean he needs to be an official student after the internship, or, he should be a prospective employer. 
  • It will take about 2 months from “Matched” to “Realized” in order to issue the VISA specially for AIESEC’s internship. 
  • To participate in this internship, the intern needs to obtain a short-term visa according to the instructions of AIESEC. 
  • An intern should not purchase flight ticket before the VISA is issued. The Visa application Documents will be sent from AIESEC in Japan. The intern should check what kind of other documents are needed for VISA apply in his country. 
  • If the intern is an international student in Japan, or if it’s not his first time to do an internship in Japan, he should let AIESEC know about this in advance. 
  • Intern has to go back to his home country immediately once the internship is finished. 
  • The intern will be prohibited to have a part-time job during his internship in Japan.
