The American University in Cairo announced the Laboratory instruction graduate Fellowship programs. Laboratory instruction graduate fellowships are competitive awards offered to outstanding graduate students with excellent academic performance record wish to pursue a graduate degree in any field of the School of Science and Engineering.

Eligibility:

This fellowship program is offered for:

All nationals.
Full admission to a graduate program in the school of sciences and engineering.
For new graduate degree-seeking students; satisfy AUC graduate admissions requirements.
Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum overall grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
For continuing students; to retain the fellowship, the recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.2
Demonstrate ability and interest in conducting experimental work and interacting with students in a laboratory environment.
Fellows must not engage in other work activities outside the University.
Financial need.

Program Duration:

One semester subject to review every semester for satisfactory academic performance.

Fellowship Coverage:

The fellowship covers:

Tuition fees for a maximum of nine credits per semester.
Student services and activities fees.
Monthly stipend.

Fellows Responsibilities:

In support of their professional training, fellows are assigned a maximum of 24 hours per week of laboratory instruction work. A Teaching Assistantship mandatory training must be completed if the fellow is involved in teaching assistantship duties. The training needs to be completed only once.
