Kent State University invites international students to apply for the International Freshman Scholarship, which is available to any non-immigrant to the United States who is an incoming new freshman student to the university. The merit-based scholarship may vary in the amount awarded to the student. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. New freshman only (transfers are not eligible); Fall admission only.
  2. Minimum cumulative Secondary school GPA 3.6 on US 4.0 scale.
  3. 27 ACT Composite,1260 new SAT or 1210 old SAT Critical Reading & Math.
  4. Unconditional Admission to Kent State University as a freshman.
  5. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award in April.
  6. TOEFL score of 71, or 6.0 in IELTS.
  7. Students will be automatically considered for the scholarship if they apply by the deadline to admission in the university.
  8. Students must have been admitted to Kent State University by 1 February.

Amount of Scholarship:

A renewable award will be distributed to qualifying individuals, range from $2,000 to $20,000 per year.
