AIESEC offers a volunteer opportunity to explore and promote tourism in Cairo, Egypt. This project is about supporting Egypt in achieving Decent Work and Economic Growth, which is one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (Goal #8). Tourism is a key contributor to Egypt’s economy due to the country’s rich culture and history, as well as diverse attractive sites and cities. Through the volunteer's efforts, this program aim to promote Egypt’s local culture and improve its tourism rates over the next years.

Responsibilities:

  • The volunteer will get the opportunity to travel 15 days around Egypt, visiting 14 TOURISTIC cities.
  • The volunteer will visit Luxor, Aswan, Nuba, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Taba, Dahab, Nweibaa, Ras Shitan, Saint Catherine.
  • The volunteer will visit in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Siwa.
  • As he travel around, the volunteer will document his whole experience (pictures and videos).
  • After each Trip, the volunteer with his team will work on producing ONE video describing their trip.
  • There will be a competition with rewards between the teams within the project for the best video.
  • During his stay in Cairo, the volunteer will be contributing to other SDGs.

Participating Fees:

Fees are 545$ including: accommodation, arrival pickup, Transportation , 3 Meals , welcome package.

Benefits:

During the volunteering period, the volunteer will receive:

  • The computer will not be provided.
  • Accommodation will be provided but will not be covered.
  • Food will be provided (3 meal per day)
  • Health Insurance: It is recommended that the volunteer obtain an international medical insurance of the duration of his internship.

Visa: 

  • Citizens of the following countries can obtain visa on arrival in Egypt: All EU countries, Canada, Australia, Georgia, Japan, South Korea, Macedonia, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and US. 
  • Citizens of Brazil and Colombia can get visa on arrival for 30 days or a visa in their home country for 90 days. 
  • Citizens of China can obtain visa on arrival through the service of an agency, or they can also apply for a touristic visa. 
  • Other nationalities should apply for a touristic visa using the invitation letter provided by AIESEC. If the tourist visa obtained does not cover the full internship period, the volunteer visa can be extended in Egypt. 

Volunteer should apply for visa as soon he is approved on the opportunity.
