Scholarships in Belgium and Poland for the neighbouring countries of the European Union:

The College of Europe has two campuses based in Poland and Belgium for students from the Mediterranean Basin and neighboring countries of the European Union.

The selected students will follow a master's degree in the following specialties:

Bruges Campus in Belgium:

- Master  in European Economic Studies

-Master  in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies

-Master of European Law (LLM)

-Master  in European Political and Governance Studies

-Master  of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA)

Natolin Campus in Poland:

-Master  in European Interdisciplinary Studies

-Master of Arts in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA)

The College of Europe is a Belgian private higher education institution located in Bruges, Belgium, and Natolin, Poland, and founded in 1949. The College specializes in training in European affairs subjects.

Deadline for applications: October 14, 2019

Condition of application:

-Master's degree, or Bachelor in relation with the master's program to which you planning to apply.

-Interest of the candidate in the Master's program.

- Past experience in connection with the master program (preferential).

-Good level of English and French, Skype interview will take place to check the language skills, you can present language certificates.

-Submit the application documents:

  • Title of degree(s) already obtained: start and end date (university, faculty, etc.)

  • other academic activities
  • professional experience: type, employer, start and end date, job title
  • language knowledge (French, English and other), level see language requirements pages
  • motivation (max 600 words)
  • interest in and experience with EU and Transatlantic Affairs (max 600 words) - for MATA applicants only!  
  • Names and e-mail addresses of 2 professors (who taught you at university and can assess your performance) in order for you to send a reference request to them via the online application system
  • CV in Europass format
  • copy of your university degree(s) - document(s) in the original language and translation into English or French (if you are not yet in possession of your final degree, please send it by email as soon as it is available) - high school diploma not needed
  • transcript(s) from your University, Faculty, School, detailing results for every year of your studies and grades obtained - document(s) in the original language and translation into English or French (if no full transcript available: upload a list of courses for the missing semester/year)
  • Erasmus studies: mention your Erasmus experience as a separate ‘degree’ (upload a transcript – if no transcript available: upload a list of courses)
  • passport or national identity card.
  • passport photo.

Important dates:

  • 1 October: Online application is open for the next academic year.
  • 15 January: Deadline date for submitting the complete online application form including supporting documents (deadline date reference letters: 31 January).
  • February to March: Pre-selection - shortlist of candidates to be invited for an interview.
  • March to May: Interview period.
  • May to June: Decision period.  Notification by email to admitted and reserve candidates and to unsuccessful interviewees. Official admission letters are sent by email. Practical information is posted on a website for admitted students. Reserve candidates may be contacted during this period if selected candidates withdraw.
