Nobrow is pleased to announce it's new short story competition. The theme of the competition is "censor", and you can address it in any way you like. You can write about past, present and future censor, self-censor, or the impact of censor on everyday life. Nobrow hopes this will be a source of inspiration for the contest participants. The Foundation is looking for exclusive and impressive entries that attract readers and excite them to read until the last word. Up to 12 winning works will be published and the best short stories and winning fairy tales will be honored.

Eligibility:

  • You cant submit a short story of up to 3,000 words or a creative non-fiction piece of up to 3,000 words. 
  • No illustrations will be accepted.
  • Your entry should have page numbers, and be double spaced in 12-point text. Submissions are read anonymously, so please do not include your name or any other identifying details anywhere in the file.
  • All entrants must have read the terms and conditions as outlined in the document here.
  • For a print version of the guidelines please press here
  • Participation in this competition is completely free, and you can participate in your previous work as long as you have not published it yet and are relevant to the subject of the competition.

Prizes:

  1. An overall winner will receive 2500 $.
  2. All selected contributors will receive 190 $ and two complimentary copies of the book and will be invited to attend events.
