TU Delft is offering a number of scholarships for excellent international applicants. Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships are financed by the legacy of Justus and Louise van Effen. The Foundation Justus & Louise van Effen was established with the aim of stimulating excellent international MSc students and financially supporting them in their wish to study at TU Delft.

Eligibility:

  1. Excellent international applicants (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programs.
  2. Applicants with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in the bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university outside Netherlands.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and CGPA

  1. A bachelor’s degree with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 75% of the scale maximum, unless specific requirements are defined.
  2. The degree must be comparable in level to a bachelor’s degree from a research university in the Netherlands and must be closely related to your MSc program of choice. In addition, scores for key subjects must also be good.
  3. Specific requirements may apply depending on where you obtained your degree. Check here for detailed information.

English Language Proficiency

All TU Delft MSc-programmes are taught in English. In order to be considered for an MSc-programme, you have to prove that your English is at a sufficient level.

The following English language certificates and corresponding scores are accepted:

  1. A TOEFL iBT with an overall band score of at least 90 and a minimum score of 21 for each section.
  2. An IELTS (academic version) with an overall Band score of at least 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 for each section.
  3. A Cambridge Assessment English. Only the following certificates are accepted:
  • C1 Advanced (Certificate of Advanced English) with an overall score of 176 and a minimum of 169 for each section.
  • C2 Proficiency (Certificate of Proficiency in English) with an overall score of 180 and a minimum of 169 for each section

Benefits:-

  1. €30.000 per year for Non-EU/EFTA students.
  2. €11.500 per year for EU/EFTA students.
  3. The scholarship includes full tuition fees per year for a TU Delft MSc programme and contribution to the living expenses.
  4. The scholarship also includes membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.
