Oxford University announces its scholarship which known as Clarendon. This scholarship will cover the entire tuition fee for its winners and applies to EU and international students. Researchers in the part-time course will receive a scholarship to support there study and to help them with non-tuition-related costs. Part-time DPhil researchers are expected to earn at least £ 2,502, and Masters researchers are expected to receive at least £ 5,003. This scholarship may be slightly reduced as it can cover some other tuition costs such as accommodation during the study period. In this case, the scholarship department will contact your academic department to determine the specific value of your scholarship.

Eligibility:

  1. All degree-bearing courses at the graduate level are eligible.
  2. This encompasses all the part-time Master and DPhil courses. A list of all the graduate courses offered by the University of Oxford can be found on the courses page from here
  3. Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
  4. For more information about full-time applicants, please see the dedicated page from here.
  5. Clarendon supports scholars from across the University, with no restrictions on a subject area.
  6. Candidates applying to start a new part-time Master's or DPhil course at Oxford are eligible. This includes students who are currently studying for a Master's degree at Oxford but who will be re-applying for a DPhil (you would be eligible for funding for the DPhil).
  7. Current students who will continue to study for the same degree at Oxford in the next year are not eligible for this scholarship.

Funding:

For part-time courses with a specific fee structure, where the course does not contain a specific number of conditions for the commitment of fees, the scholarship will cover the academic fees that are mandatory for your course. Which may include:

  • An Annual Award Fee - this will be paid for a maximum of two years.
  • A Registration Fee - this will be fully paid.
  • A Dissertation Fee - this will be fully paid.
  • Module Fees - your scholarship will pay for the minimum number of modules required to complete your course, but will not pay for any additional modules which you take voluntarily.
  • In the event of any other compulsory academic fees, The University will liaise with your academic department to determine if they should be funded by your scholarship.
