The School of Communication and Arts of the University of Queensland, Australia, is offering an undergraduate scholarship in journalism, which is open to local and international students. This scholarship was established in 2018 by the School of Communication and Arts through the support of Mr. Bruce Woolley in order to support an undergraduate student seeking to undertake an academic career in Journalism with a demonstrated interest in issues facing Indigenous communities, particularly those issues related to social justice, human rights, reconciliation, and disadvantage.

Study Area:

This Scholarship is offered for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and valued $5000 per year and up to 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria:

An applicant is eligible for the Scholarship if the applicant:

  1. Submits an application to the Committee, by the closing date for applications.
  2. Enroll for full-time study in a related program in conjunction with the time of application.
  3. Does not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.
  4. Has not previously held the Scholarship.
