The National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) was created inÂ 1998 by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Although it was founded by theÂ Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs, the CNIO has been integrated since theÂ end of 2011 with the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness .Â
