UN Volunteers is looking for five online volunteers with communications experts who can expand Galaxy4Peace brand by developing content for social media on peacebuilding and sustainable development communication.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

The chosen volunteers will be responsible for developing engaging content for the weekly Teach Peace Early, Chat4Peace & PeaceTuesday peacebuilding advocacy program. In addition, the volunteer's goal is to raise awareness about the youth-focused organization and work towards increasing traffic on the social media platform through engaging content. Communication will be done through email, skype calls and the volunteer will be added to WhatsApp group for easy communication.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a demonstrated advocacy and communications experience with major social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) presence.
The drive to dedicate your time.
Ability to work with a “virtual” team and deliver.
Proactive in bringing up ideas.
Strong desire to learn.
Great writing and Editing skills are an added advantage.

About Galaxy4Peace:

Galaxy4Peace is a youth-centered peacebuilding - educational and advocacy organization with a mandate to build a violence-free generation through the transformation of how individuals and communities respond to issues of conflict and violence. It has adopted a primary approach of teaching Peace Education in Nigerian Schools especially at the secondary and tertiary levels. The prevention and intervention solutions it promotes through the various peacebuilding programs they champion have proven effective in promoting peace while enhancing cooperation skills, increase social resilience and counter violent extremism.
