Are you a student of interest and knowledge in virology, immunology and veterinary medicine? The University of Canberra offers aspiring students the opportunity to apply for a doctoral fellowship program to work on a project to investigate the expression and function of Mx and other genes from innate immune response and analysis of genome sequence data collected from more than 40 different sheep breeds for three years. Applicants will be trained in genomics developments, including next generation sequencing; molecular cloning, cell culture and virus experiments.
The grant is approximately $ 26,300 per year (tax-free) with the possibility of increase.
