ATOS invites engineering students around the world to participate in the IT Challenge which will focus on “How digital can decarbonize non-digital”. Solutions can be involved in various topics such as power generation, agriculture, industry, transportation, and the environment. The objective of this contest is to promote and encourage innovation in an open environment amongst best-in-class Universities and students and to support young innovators in taking their solutions forward.
Atos will also appoint a special “IT Challenge” HR point of contact, for those members of the winning and finalist teams that may wish to apply directly for an employment opportunity within Atos.
All participants in the IT Challenge will be invited to apply for an internshipto work as part of the Atos organization.
Note: Atos reserves the right not to select any winner should the final solution presented fail to meet basic admissibility criteria as per the Jury’s reasonable judgment.
Atos reserves the right to modify or substitute any of the above prizes (for other prizes of equivalent value).
The contest shall be conducted in the following phases:
1. Registration.
Each team shall formalize participation in the contest by registering and including their contact details online via the contest website.
2. Pre-selection Phase: Submission of solution
Each team shall develop and submit their solution by the indicated deadline, through the contest website. Each team is entitled to submit only one solution.
The initial solution shall be submitted in the indicated format and by using the official template available on the contest website.
3. Pre-selection decision:
The Jury shall select a maximum of 15 teams that shall be invited to participate in the final phase (Development Phase).
The selected teams shall be contacted and the list of selected teams published on the contest website.
4. Development Phase
During this phase, the selected teams will be invited to develop a solution in order to show their solution in a real-life context and will be invited to present the results to the IT Challenge Jury for the final selection.
5. Presentation
The selected teams will be invited to record a video presenting their solution, which will have to be submitted for assessment by the IT Challenge Jury. During the week following the submission of the video- presentations, the IT Challenge Jury will organize a follow-up call with each of the selected teams to clarify potential issues and ask questions in connection with the presented solution.
6. Final Selection and Awards Ceremony:
The IT Challenge Jury will select 1 winner and 2 finalists. The winning teams will be contacted and their names published on the contest website during the month of June. The winning teams shall be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony, with the attendance of Atos Top executives and selected partners. Details, location, and date for the Awards Ceremony shall be communicated to the winning teams in due course.
Note: Atos will arrange and/or cover the travel and accommodation expenses of the winning teams to attend the Awards Ceremony.
