Research in the Theory of Practical Knowledge deals with epistemological, ethical and existential perspectives on working life, and with questions of the power relations, embodiment and language associated with various professions. Our fields of interest are health care, education, social care, art and other professions in which interpersonal issues are vital. The Theory of Practical Knowledge is a multidisciplinary field, bringing together theories and methods from humanistic traditions, including philosophy, the history of ideas, aesthetics, pedagogy and ethnology. Practical experience of the topic being studied is highly relevant to research.
