In the "Competence Center High Performance Computing CC-HPC", we develop new solutions based on innovative software concepts in the world of HPC and Big Data, among others. We work together with industrial partners, supercomputer data centers, hardware manufacturers and cloud providers in national and international co-operations. Our research and development deals with fundamental questions, data structures / infrastructures and software concepts as well as with the practical implementation in industry-specific solutions. As a result, a number of successful open source products have already been developed, for example the parallel file system BeeGFS or the Global Address Space Programming Interface (GASPI). We want to continue on this successful path.
Your Task
You will work on exciting projects in research and industry and get to know new application areas and challenges, for which you will develop solutions in the team and bring them to application.

What you can expect from us
You will be part of a dedicated team developing new solutions for the HPC, Big Data and Memory Driven Computing market. A team that has developed BeeGFS, a globally recognized parallel file system.
Appointment, remuneration and social security benefits based on the public-sector collective wage agreement (TVöD). Additionally, Fraunhofer may grant performance-based variable remuneration components.
In case of identical qualifications preference will be given to severely disabled candidates.
