Two PhD and two Post-Doc positions are open (starting from September 2021) to work on the enriched continuum modeling of metamaterials and the conception of meta-structures that control elastic waves and recover energy. (more details at https://angelamadeouniroma.wixsite.com/angela-madeo).

One PhD and one Post-Doc are mostly devoted to the development of the enriched model and its calibration on specific metamaterials (theoretical / use of Mathematica software), while the second PhD and Post-Doc are mostly devoted to the numerical implementation of the model on realistic meta-structures (use of COMSOL software). Interactions among the two subjects are of course forecasted.

These positions are associated to an ERC Consolidator project (META-LEGO) and the salaries are of about 2100 Euros for PhD and 3000 Euros net for Post-Doc positions.
