The Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), invites journalists in the Arab World to apply for its 2017 investigative journalism contest by submitting their investigation report in one of the contest's four categories: print, short investigative film (7 to 20 minutes in length), feature film (20 to 40 minutes in length) and multimedia investigations. Works can be in English or Arabic and must have been published or broadcast between Nov 10, 2016 and Nov 10, 2017.
Winners will have the opportunity to join ARIJ's team by applying for workshops that enhance their investigation skills. Also, ARIJ will provide mentors to assist journalists who aim to complete an investigation, in addition to a financial grant covering the costs of investigation and legal counseling before publishing the report.
