Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2018 (TAAF2018) is looking for unique animation works with high potential and strong messages from all over the world from march 9 to 12 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The aim of the festival is to screen high-quality animation works superior in originality, provide opportunities to inspire audience as well as creators, cultivate new talents, and contribute in the development and promotion of animation cultures and industry. The submitted work must have been completed on, or after, January 1, 2016 and in (1920 x 1080 pix.) or DCP. The applicant’s work must be under one of the following categories:
[1] Feature Animation (60 min. or longer)
[2]Short Animation (less than 30 min. )
The prize will be for one from each category the following:
[1] Grand Prize: cash award of 500,000 yen.
[2] Award of Excellence: cash award of 100,000 yen.
