Institution: New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services
Purpose: To provide higher education opportunities for children of deceased veterans.
Eligibility: Applicants must be children between the ages of 16 and 26 whose parent was a veteran who was killed in action or who died of a battle-related injury. The waiver covers tuition at any state funded college or university as well as a $150 per semester stipend to help cover books or fees.
