Eligibility:

You're eligible if you:

are a domestic student
are enrolled full-time in the first year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or an engineering integrated program or dual engineering program
are studying in the relevant field (see below)
have completed at least 12 units, but not more than 18 units, in your program
can demonstrate financial need
do not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean deems similar.

Selection criteria:

We'll consider:

evidence of financial hardship
academic achievements
personal qualities including leadership potential, community service or engagement
any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success in the engineering profession.

About this scholarship:

The scholarship was established in 2011 and maintained by the annual income from a bequest from the Estate of Sir James Foots AO, a former Chancellor of the University. Sir James Foots and his family previously supported the Sir James Foots Undergraduate Scholarships from 1999-2010.
