Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions and two PhD positions in laboratory physical chemistry and astrochemistry to work with Prof. Cheng Zhu at the Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences | Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The research will be focused on laboratory studies of the formation and identification of reactive intermediates and/or interstellar molecules in the solid phase.
The starting date of the postdoctoral positions would be anytime between now and Dec. 1, 2023, depending on the applicant's availability. The deadline for the PhD position is Feb. 15, 2023 (https://english.ucas.ac.cn/index.php/admission/international-students/no... ) .
Successful postdoc applicants should have a PhD degree in physical chemistry, astrochemistry or related fields by the time of appointment. Applicants with experience in ultra high vacuum (UHV) systems, ion sources, FTIR, tunable pulsed laser systems, SolidWorks, Matlab, and/or Labview, are particularly encouraged to apply.
Successful postdoc applicants will receive an annual salary of 300,000 CNY at minimum. Travel funding will also be provided for domestic and international conferences and collaboration.
