Dutch Language Level 1 (A0 -> A1-) early July

This beginners' course in Dutch offers you the opportunity to learn the Dutch language fast and well. The course aim is to reach level A1-. During the course, you will cover the four skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. Our excellent teachers will also familiarise you with Dutch customs and manners. The following themes will be covered: getting to know each other, talking about relatives, daily life, inviting people, (grocery) shopping, and ordering in a bar or restaurant.

Dutch is a Germanic language that is spoken by approximately 23 million people worldwide. Most of these live in the Netherlands and in Belgium, but Dutch is also spoken in Suriname and on the Dutch Antilles. Dutch language level 1 is designed for beginners and gives you the opportunity to learn the basics of Dutch fast and well.

This course covers the following activities:

- talks - dialogues - pronunciation - grammar exercises

This course is suitable for beginners, there is no prior knowledge of Dutch required. Our Dutch courses are predominantly taught in Dutch; however, English will be used as a supporting language. Good command of English is, therefore, a prerequisite.

Course Aim

Gain basic knowledge of the Dutch language and reach CEF-level A1-. After completing this course:
- You can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
- You will be able to introduce yourself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where you live and people you know.
- You can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
