The MUMEDI project was conceived by the designer, Alvaro Rego García de Alba who, due to his trajectory and after having lectured at over 500 conferences in 16 countries, has acquired a singular vision regarding the need for a Design Museum in Mexico.
Throughout his career, he has backed young people and renowned designers with projects such as the Revista Matiz (Matiz magazine) that still enjoys a very large number of cult followers, although it stopped being published after its 20th edition.
The main objective for creating the first Design Museum in Mexico is to continue supporting and promoting national and international design through the MUMEDI A.C. Foundation.
