Writing Competition for Students from Justis and the Chance to Win a Prize of £2,000

Justis, a specialist in digital dissemination of legal information, has announced the opening of the 2020 International Law and Technology Writing Competition. The competition is open to university students aged 18 or over from around the world.

Competition Categories:

  • Technology & the future of legal practice including Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Blockchain, LawTech, Automation, Job security, Robots, and Future lawyers.
  • Social Media, data and privacy including Legal Tech, Data, Privacy, Social Media, Terms & Conditions, Data leaks, Comparative law, and International law.
  • Access to justice and technology including Justice, Online courts, Legal design, Dissemination, Communication, Human rights, Charity, International law.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All entries must 1,000 words or less, excluding references.
  • Please use OSCOLA or Harvard referencing for any citations.
  • You must be a current student (undergraduate or postgraduate).
  • A maximum of one entry may be submitted for each category.
  • Your entry must include your full name within the document.
  • All entries must be submitted in Microsoft word format.
  • Submit your entry using your valid university email address (Your university email address will end in .ac.uk, .edu or similar).

Please note: If your university does not provide you with a university email address, you have to provide evidence of your student status. Any evidence of student status will need to be sent to marketing@justis.com  before the deadline.

Prizes:

  • Grand Prize: £ 2000 and the article will be published in the popular Legal Cheek Journal. 
  • Three prizes of £250 will be awarded to the best article in each category, alongside publication on the Justis Blog.
