TRACE International invites journalists around the world to apply for its annual competition for 2020. Applicants should participate in investigative reports that uncover business bribery or related financial crime with the goal of increasing commercial transparency.
Competition Rules:
- Entries must involve business-related bribery or financial crime.
- Entries must have appeared in print, online or broadcast media during 2019.
- You may submit your own work, or you may nominate the work of someone else. If you nominate another’s work, please obtain their permission to do so.
- Books are not accepted.
- Multiple entries per author are permitted, as are team entries produced by groups of journalists.
Prizes:
- A panel of independent judges will review the submissions and select up to two winning entries, each of which will receive a cash prize of US$10,000. Reporter(s) will be invited to an award ceremony hosted by TRACE in the USA.
- The judges may also name up to two honorable mentions, who will each receive US$1,000.
