The USAID Program "Shababona Qowa" is offering a paid Internship for youth, men and women. The program which is funded by USAID in Jordan aims to enhance the concept of active participation of Youth from a positive development perspective, and build their entrepreneurial capabilities in order to enhance and empower them in their communities and preparing them to enter the labor market and access to other educational and study opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria:

The USAID Program "Shababona Qowa" provides an opportunity for young men and women who are eligible for the conditions outlined below to apply for the internship:

  • The applicant should hold the first university degree "Bachelor's degree" or have an intermediate or higher diploma from one of the universities or institutes recognized in Jordan, or still in the study seats (preferably the year of graduation) or have experience in the field of social entrepreneurship.
  • It is preferred that the applicant have past experience in volunteering or paid work.
  • The applicant must be between 19 and 29 years old when submitting the application.
  • The program encourages young people with artistic, literary or sporting talents and skills to apply for the internship program. 
  • There are no required specialties.
  • That the applicant is a resident of the geographical regions in which the program operates as follows:
  1. Aqaba
  2. Ma'an
  3. Tafila
  4. Karak
  5. Ajloun
  6. Mafraq
  7. Jerash
  8. Irbid
  9. Amman
  10. Balqa 
  11. Zarqa 
  12. Madaba 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing weekly plans of activities in coordination with the supervisor,
  • Participate in meetings and joint activities with youth in local communities.
  • Contribute to the coordination and preparation of project activities.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports, and any other requirements required in the work.

Internship Period:

The Internship period is from three to six months.

Work Hours:

Five days per week, 7 hours per day, with the possibility of working on Saturdays if it is required

Benefits:

A contract is signed and a monthly salary which is taken through a bank transfer.

Important Notes:

  • The applicant is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided in the application form.

  • Applicants will be invited to take a written exam.
  • Applicants will be invited to a personal interview if they passed the written exam.
  • In they are invited to the interview, the applicant must submit all original documents that prove the validity of the data contained in the application, with copies of these documents attached
