Samsung is offering a job opportunity in the United Arab Emirates as a Retail Marketing Specialist, with a role of assisting the Retail Marketing Manager in the execution of the retail strategy for the Samsung IT & Mobile (IM) division.
The successful incumbent will communicate with a number of key stakeholders including HQ, retail partners, telecom operators, and agency partners to successfully implement the marketing strategy.
As a key member of the Retail Marketing Team, he/she will achieve the Retail KPIs of the department by identifying prime locations at retailers, negotiating, and close the space buying agreements across all retail partners. And will also be responsible for briefing the agencies on the branding requirements and implementing them, and leading on retail enhancements.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. A minimum of 5 years experience in Retail Marketing
  2. 3/4+ years experience in Visual Merchandising
  3. Bachelor’s Degree
  4. The familiarity of retail marketing in a Luxury/Electronic or FMCG environment
  5. Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills
  6. Excellent working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  7. People management (Internal & External – Partners, Distributors, and Agencies)
  8. Solid understanding of product technology and passion for technology
  9. Language:
    • English: Excellent written and spoken
    • Arabic: Preferable but not a mandatory

Job Description:

  1. Assist in various BTL/Retail activities of IM division across the region.
  2. Conceptualizing, negotiation, and implementation of IM Zones & SIS.
  3. Contract negotiations with the retailers to secure prime spaces within retail.
  4. Manage and develop daily operations of the retail marketing function.
  5. Establish the standards in Visual Merchandising by the use of guidelines, defining working processes & initiating new methods of approach.
  6. Management of all agencies involved in any project (example: Creative and Visual Merchandising agencies).
  7. Support the Retail Marketing Manager in preparing visual marketing strategies to drive product appeal and brand awareness.
  8. Secure prime spaces (golden zones) in-store in conjunction with the sales team to highlight Samsung IM products.
  9. Share new ideas and concepts for retail fixtures in line with Samsung guidelines.
  10. Create and distribute the visual merchandising material for products/promotions.
  11. Administer the Visual merchandising team, targets, and weekly reviews + set monthly KPI’s.
  12. Working closely with retailers in managing the overall relationship and acting as a key contact.
  13. Retail coordination including mall approvals and material installation.
  14. Create and distribute the visual merchandise guide for each IM zones.
  15. Research and build knowledge of key consumer trends & behaviors, retail landscape and competitors for enhanced retail display.
  16. Provide professional feedback/suggestions/plans within sales and retailers.
  17. Coordinate and prepare the retail branding grid based on HQ guidelines for the entire GCC region.
  18. Co-manage the budget with the retail marketing manager.
