Film Freeway is delighted to invite the filmmakers to participate in Al-Nahj International Film Festival, held by Karbala satellite TV. The festival specializes in short films that could be fiction, documentaries or animation. The festival will be held in Karbala, Iraq from April 15 to April 20, 2020.
Participation Rules:
The film must include one of the following themes:
Human rights: issues related to human dignity as a fundamental axis in building societies.
Integrity: issues related to integrity that deal with the building of the human character first, then the building of a positive society.
Reforms: issues related to changing bad traits into good ones that help to build a good society on the basis of justice and equality.
The film should observe all Islamic laws.
The film should be no longer than 30 minutes.
The film shouldn’t be exhibited on TV or social networking sites.
The film must be produced in 2018 and up.
The film must be presented with an English subtitle.
Prizes:
The festival awards are 21 carats of fine gold bar designed in the form of a festival logo and as following:
First prize (100 g)
Second prize (75g)
Third prize (50g)
Furthermore, 100 gm silver awards in the form of the festival logo are given to:
Jury award
Screenplay movie award
Pioneer actor shield award
The festival will cover the travel and accommodation expenses of filmmakers or their representatives throughout the festival.
Accommodation will be in the visitors’ city at Karbala, which is considered one of the safest cities and the most popular tourist destination in Iraq.
