Walt Disney is offering an internship opportunity in Franchise Management at The Walt Disney Studios in California, United States. As an intern on the Franchise Management team, the participant will meet people from around the company as they work together to bring products and experiences in support of Disney films to the marketplace. One of his primary tasks will be to help Disney develop brand guides on some of it's most vital franchises, capturing in rich detail the narrative plotlines, extended universe chronology, mythology, character and environment descriptions, key prop descriptions, open areas for future creative exploration, marketing art guidelines, and consumer product style guides.

Required Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Skilled writer with a clear, concise voice – able to write creatively for a business/marketing audience.
Resourceful self-starter.
Strong attention to detail.
Goes above and beyond.
Familiar with Disney and/or Fox properties.
Passion for film creative, story, and how that gets translated into real-world executions.
Interest in research.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with filmmaking and/or interest in the process.

Education:

Required Education:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at the time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program.

Preferred Education:

Creative writing or film school programs preferred.

Program Eligibility:

At least 18 years of age.
Unrestricted work authorization.
Ability to provide own relocation, housing, and transportation. The position is located in Burbank, CA.
Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a college/university taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program, or recently graduated within six months at the time of application.
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
The approximate dates of this internship are May 2020 through August/Sept 2020.
Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
