The Polimoda Fashion School, in cooperation with the international luxury company Chalhoub Group Dubai, is offering a Master's scholarship in Fashion Brand Management. Fashion Brand Management is run by teachers from the industry and international guest lecturers. Field trips to trade fairs, fashion shows, companies, and corporate museums are included, as well as internship opportunities. The course’s two main projects, rebranding a major label and launching an emerging brand, are tutored by Polimoda’s Director and are of a quality to present as a personal portfolio. Upon completion of the Master, students will be automatically given the possibility to partake in the Polimoda Talent program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students who are less than 35 years old and resident in one of the following countries:
  • GCC area (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman).
  • Middle-East region (Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, Iran, Iraq).
  • Students who have a degree (or another equivalent qualification, or at least two years of experience gained in the sector) or who are graduating and have already set all the exams in their degree course when the Polimoda Master Course begins, and who will defend their degree theses within 6 months from the commencement of the classroom lessons.
  • Students who are already enrolled in a Polimoda Master Course, Polimoda Undergraduate Course, Polimoda Associate Course or Polimoda Seasonal Course cannot participate in the selection process.
  • English proficiency.

Note: Polimoda reserves the right to close the application process beforehand in the event that a large number of applications are received.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the master course, students will be able to:

  • Develop visionary and creative ideas in order to create, preserve and reshape the identity of a brand.
  • Manage the fine-tuning between humans, society, and industry that gives a brand relevance in the industry.
  • Create new designs, trends, and businesses to anticipate future insights and competitors.
  • Create strategic plans out of business models for new products, markets, and target groups.
  • Elaborate on the concept of a 360° communications plan by creating key messages to seduce and aggregate.

Scholarship Value:

  • This scholarship covers the total cost of the tuition fee (€ 28,000).
  • The scholarship does not include housing, living or any other extras.

Duration:

The Polimoda Master Course, will have the duration of 9 months and will be composed of classroom lessons, starting on March 23rd, 2020 and ending by November 27th, 2020 in addition to a 3 (three) month internship, in which the student will participate subject to verification of the requisites established by the Polimoda Student Regulations.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • The admission committee will draw up a ranking of the top candidates, taking into account their effective merits, curriculum vitae, and interviews. The scholarship will be awarded to the candidate listed at the top of the ranking.
  • In case of equal merit amongst the candidates, precedence will be given to the candidate who first submitted the application form.

Scholarship Rules:

  • The candidate that was awarded the scholarship may be requested, at his/her own expenses and full responsibility, to obtain a valid study visa and permit of stay from Italian Authorities. Should the candidate fail, for any reason, to obtain the appropriate visa and permit of stay to attend the course, he/she will lose the right for the scholarship.
  • During the study program, and/or prior to its commencement and/or after its conclusion, selected candidates may also be invited by the Chalhoub Group for the Scholars Day event and/or another meeting or event organized by the Chalhoub Group. Visit costs (flight/hotel) are organized by the Chalhoub Group with the objective of being introduced to the company. Should the Scholar’s Day occur and/or another meeting or event organized by the Chalhoub Group, all related arrangements will be agreed upon directly between the selected candidate and Chalhoub with no involvement of Polimoda.
