Delivery Hero is offering a job opportunity in Berlin, Germany, as a Business Intelligence Analyst.

Required Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, e.g. computer science, mathematics or statistics.
  2. 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  3. Solid working knowledge of statistical techniques: regression analysis, classification algorithms, A/B testing.
  4. Data modeling concepts and solid SQL skills, beyond just data access.
  5. Experience with Tableau, Looker or other Business Intelligence tools.
  6. Experience in analyzing and validating large volumes of data from different systems and handling confidently large datasets using tools like R and/or Python.
  7. Have strong critical thinking skills; ability to see the "big picture" while also diving into the details where necessary.
  8. Clear and structured communication skills and an analytical mind, a ‘can do’ attitude and capable of using data to tell stories.
  9. Fluency in English, other languages are an advantage.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Experience with machine learning techniques and optimization algorithms.
  2. Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
  3. Payments and FinTech experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Work in a highly effective team responsible for the processing of financial transactions amounting to billions of euros.
  2. Be a Data Hero: develop and optimize reports, perform ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses to facilitate data-driven decision making.
  3. Acting as the liaison between the payments team and the other BI/DWH teams in order to facilitate the collaboration and ensuring their support when needed.
  4. Collaborate with the central teams in Berlin as well as with the local teams to drive the best payment practices across the region.
  5. Be part of the project for the development of a global intelligence layer for payments including KPI definitions, data model standardization, and global reporting framework.
  6. Together with the other team members, manage the data needs of the payments operations team: assess the requests, prioritize and deliver the results but also challenge the need for data i.e. distinguish from ‘nice to have’ and ‘must-have’ requests.
