University of Nottingham is offering Faculty of Engineering Research Excellence Scholarship. This competitive scholarship recognizes and rewards outstanding international students who apply to study a full-time engineering PhD.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for this scholarship, applicants must be:

  1. Exceptional students who are committed to pushing the boundaries of engineering, and who are excited about the prospect of working with some of the world’s leading researchers and who aspire to be the best in their profession.
  2. Be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes.
  3. Have a first-class undergraduate degree or an MSc with distinction in a relevant subject – work experience, published journal papers and other impressive achievements (prizes, top-in-class etc) will be considered.
  4. Apply for the university, and receive an unconditional offer to start a full-time PhD in the Faculty of Engineering at University of Nottingham UK with a start date that falls on or between 1 October 2020 and 1 February 2021. 
  5. Scholarships will only be awarded to students who accept their offer to study with Univeristy of Nottingham. They do not need to respond to their offer before applying for this scholarship. If an applicant is offered a scholarship and do not then accept their offer, their scholarship will be offered to another applicant.

Funding offered:

  1. Students will get to power their research with Faculty of Engineering Research Excellence PhD Scholarship, covering tuition fees and a £1,015 monthly living allowance.
  2. These will be awarded in each year of three-year PhD, subject to satisfactory progress.
  3. This award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham scholarship or award from student’s home country.
