United Nation offers an internship in graphic design and multi media production. The position is located in design and multimedia unit of the production and support service, division of conference management, united nations office at Geneva. This internship is proposed to start as soon as possible for a period of three months, with a possibility of extension for a maximum period of six months, depending on the needs of the department. The internship is unpaid and full-time. Interns will work five days per week under the supervision of a staff member in the design and multimedia unit.

  • English and French are the working languages of the united nations secretariat. For this internship, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
  • To qualify for an internship with the united nations internship program, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
  1. Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); OR
  2. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); OR
  3. Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Your Responsibilities:

The graphic design intern will assist with the following duties:

  1. Develops branding material and graphics used in print, digital and videos platforms, such as flyers, posters, digital signage and motion graphics.
  2. Photography for print and electronic products.
  3. Provides editorial/design inputs to enhance the united nations Geneva websites.
  4. Creates graphically engaging presentations and materials.
  5. Edits images and videos for communications activities.
  6. Participates in organizing and setting up for special events organized and/or supported by the design and multimedia unit as necessary.
