Internship in Bulgaria at IBM As a Technical Support Specialist 2020

IBM is looking to hire a talented Enterprise Technical Support Specialist for a one-year internship within the Storage Support Graduate Program in Sofia, Bulgaria for 2020. With the Brand Remote Technical Support team, you’ll be responsible to receive and record incident-related information, using a variety of tools, techniques and procedures, select appropriate actions to resolve problems. This role participates in remote technical support of IBM hardware & software products and/or systems. The Client Innovation Center is a hub of global importance for the company, providing end-to-end IT services, including network management, server systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring of computer hardware and software covering some of the biggest world markets – US, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Responsibilities:

  1. The storage Technical Support Internship program requires full-time employment with a maximum duration of 12 calendar months. 
  2. During the learning journey, you will gain new skills on specific skill sets that are needed to provide remote technical support assistance to clients and IBM technical personnel on server and data storage products.
  3. An experienced engineer - Mentor - will be assigned to the apprentice, to provide support and guidance throughout the learning journey.
  4. During the whole program, extensive training and workshop sessions will be conducted, in order to obtain not only deep technical knowledge and understanding of Storage concepts but also proficient communication skills and corporate culture.

You will practice how to:

  1. Provide remote troubleshooting and analysis assistance for installation, usage, and configuration.
  2. Answer questions for general usage and operations of system components. Provide problem determination/problem source identification.
  3. Review diagnostic information to assist in the isolation of a problem cause (which could include interpretation of traces and dumps).
  4. Identify known defects and fixes to resolve problems.
  5. Provide technical support within established guidelines.
  6. This Apprenticeship will require working on flexible hours.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  1. Being an active University student.
  2. Fluent level of English language skills, both verbal and written.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Open for new challenges.
  5. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  6. Willingness to work with limited supervision.
  7. Team spirit. 
  8. Second foreign language is considered an advantage
