The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a talented Legal Needs Officer to join the work team in Idleb, Syria for 2020. This position will be based in Darkoush in Idleb governorate and focus on supporting the implementation of protection rule of law (PRoL) programs in northern Syria. The IRC is scaling up its PRoL portfolio in the Northern Syrian programs including the addition of legal assistance activities. The Legal Needs Officer (LNO) will play a key role in supporting and expanding the legal element of IRC’s protection programming. They will be expected to directly support vulnerable IDPs and host community members to access their legal rights through awareness sessions, individual counselling and legal assistance. The LNO will report to the Legal Documentation Specialist (LDS) based in Amman, Jordan.
