Orange is seeking a talented Mobile Core Data Network Operations and Support Supervisor to join the team and start work in Egypt for 2020. 

Tasks:

  1. Provide second level support on 24/7 basis for network connectivity, quality  and alarm triggered problems  for all Mobile Core DN equipment present in all sites remotely and on site. 
  2. Administer, test and maintain Core Data network elements and links in all Orange switches.
  3. Ensure proper integration, testing and operation of all Orange core services implemented over the Data network while ensuring Quality of service and availability requirements for critical services.
  4. Prepare and review contingency plans to minimize or eliminate impact on Orange’s customers for planned/urgent actions or major problems. 
  5. Participate in handling complex data network projects and provide technical proposals that speed problem resolution or better implementation of work orders.
  6. Revise and approve implementation of assigned technical solutions in coordination with vendor and concerned departments.
  7. Perform daily, weekly and monthly network health checks & follow up with concerned teams till resolution.
  8. Perform regular network modifications through work orders including routing, access, monitoring, H.W installations,..etc.
  9. Ensure proper documentation and regular reporting of network performance and team activities to his management.
  10. Ensure a proper methodology implementation during the diagnosis of problems, taking appropriate actions and handle business priorities.
  11. Follow up on assigned daily team activities and problems resolution with concerned teams.
  12. Follow up with vendors all pending problems and escalate to higher levels if SLAs are not being followed or if the business is being affected as a result of problems.
  13. Schedule implementation plans for assigned projects, conduct acceptance and services? testing for data network for new services and product.
  14. Coordinate with other teams inside or outside Technology department for  daily operations or implementation of new tasks.
  15. Review and update operational procedures as needed and propose solutions to enhance the operational environment.
  16. Diagnose and correct faults in all Core Data network components using the available tools and resources.
  17. Ensure all core DN components new and deployed are fully integrated with DN  management tools for proper alarm reporting, capacity management, configuration change management, event and performance management.
  18. Assure existence of spare parts and active support for all deployed DN equipment prior to installation.
  19. Test and accept newly installed DN devices and perform power, device and link redundancy checks before being introduced to the operational network.
  20. Implement all S/W upgrades and correspond fix releases delivered by supplier.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Bachelor degree in Engineering,  Electronics & Communications or Computer Engineering majors.
  2. Technical certification is a must (at least CCNA or JNCIA sec  but preferably CCNP/CCIP/JNCIP Sec..).
  3. Minimum 4 years of   Hands-on experience in Mobile operator , internet service provider, or system integrator (operations or Engineering departments).
  4. Aware of the OSI TCP/IP Model.
  5. Aware of the building blocks of IP QoS, congestion management, traffic policing & shaping and QoS best practices.
  6. Knowledge of network elements administration and management concepts including  SNMP, KPIs, and translating MIB files.
  7. Good Knowledge of BFD, VPLS, HSRP concepts and troubleshooting.
  8. Good Knowledge of the GSM & Packet Core network technologies & concepts and building blocks.
  9. Ability to analyze packet capturing files for detailed investigations.
  10. Ability to write scripts for workarounds due to application and devices limitations.
  11. Solid knowledge of data network concepts and devices.
  12. Knowledge of how to  secure network infrastructure, understanding core security concepts, managing secure access, VPN encryption and firewalls.
  13. VPNs implementation and VPNs advanced features
  14. Firewall (Policy, NAT, IPSec).
  15. IPS & IDS.
  16. Next Generation Firewall.
  17. Basic knowledge of Load balancers functionality and administration especially F5.
  18. Basic knowledge of WAF functionality.
  19. Supporting certificates according to position.
