ARDD offers a job opportunity in Jordan to work as a logistics officer where you will provide the required goods, services and works with the required quality and quantity to ADDR operations at best value for money. It is an essential requirement that the procurement manual to be understood and read in conformance with the purchasing policy and other guidelines created by the management. To ensure good implementation within Amman head office, partners, and local field offices of ARDD.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. BA in administration, finance, logistic or any related field.
  2. From 3 to 5 years’ experience for similar companies or organization and previous experience in the logistics field with INGO.
  3. Experience of working with risk assessments and safe standards of work.
  4. Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel frequently to the field/remote areas in the project sites.
  5. The ability to communicate instructions effectively.
  6. The ability to work under consistent pressure.
  7. Willing & able to offer support to other departments.
  8. Computer literate.
  9. Attention to detail and excellent numeracy.
  10. Good experience in: purchasing, warehousing, vehicle management, administration; Ability to keep clear and concise records.
  11. Driving license.
  12. Arabic and English skills.
  13. Good communication skills.
  14. Good time-management skills.
  15. Focused, and clear mind.
  16. The ability to manage in risk situations.
  17. Respect all regulations either from the organization or the nation.
  18. Maintain the vehicles in good conditions.
  19. Be strong team player.
  20. Be adaptable and able to work in multicultural team.
  21. Be flexible and able to manage stress.

Your Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Procure all materials and equipment in a cost-effective and transparent manner, in line with ARDD and donor specific procurement policies.
  • Review procurement requests to ensure appropriateness of technical specifications and seek clarifications, if required.
  • Ensure that all order requests, purchase orders, request for quotation and invitations to bid are tracked from point of planning and request through to final receipt.
  • Vendor setup and management, procurement software data entry and management.
  • Prepare/oversee the distribution of invitations to tender and manage/conduct all aspects of bid/proposal evaluations.
  • Participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items conformity to technical specifications and quantities.
  • Assist with the preparation of contracts and amendments of contracts when needed.
  • Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules and regularly review, update and share the procurement trackers with the finance manager.
  • Provide procurement planning support to the programs’ staff as required.
  • Conduct regular market surveys and search the market for new suppliers that may provide better service or value for money for ARDD.
  • Participate and facilitate the supplier pre-qualification process.
  • Initiate strategic sourcing for frequently purchased items to ensure framework agreements with the suppliers and service providers are in place.
  • Ensure procurement files are accurate and records are in compliance to ARDD and donor procurement policies, filing system is properly established, all soft copies and hard copies of procurement files are accessible and manageable by auditors.
  • Prepare and submit payments of suppliers to finance on a timely manner.
  • Asset management and tracking duties as assigned by ARDD’s SOPs. 
  • Do other duties as assigned.
