Fully Funded Hansen Summer Exchange Program fellowship is an opportunity for international and U.S. students to build leadership skills and better cultural understanding to help form a more peaceful future. Fellows receive hands-on training in team-building, public speaking, negotiation, mediation as well as working together to solve international problems. Leadership training includes meeting with political and business leaders to learn real-world skills and how to implement these skills at home after the program. The program is located in San Diego, CA and open to international and U.S. undergraduate and master’s students aged 20-25.

2. Summer School 2020 on Czech Republic (Scholarships available)

The summer school will run at the University of Pardubice for about one month starting on July 9th, 2020 to August 8th, 2020. The university divides the summer school courses and curriculum into two parts; Life is Chemistry and Quality of Life. The part “Life is Chemistry” includes courses like chemistry, chemical technology, material science. Similarly, the part of “Quality of Life” will introduce objective and subjective factors of quality of life from the perspective of public administration, transportation, and health studies.

3. EAN Autumn School 2020 in Greece

EAN gives 60 neurologists in training (RRFS members) the chance to increase their knowledge of clinical neurology. The basic idea is to illustrate and showcase how experienced neurologists and sub-specialists approach specific clinical presentations, including an update on relevant diagnostic and treatment approaches for key conditions in the relevant areas. The course is structured in plenary sessions for all participants in the morning and hands-on/interactive or case-based sessions in the afternoons (20 participants per course, rotating); including patient input where possible.

Suitable patients can also attend the session with the assistance of local neurologists/the national neurological society. The language will not be a barrier for local patients as translation service will be available whenever necessary.

4. Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science 2020

Promoting science and technology is a key engine to materialize a bright future of Asia and it is vitally important to enhance the exchange of youths in Asian countries and Japan who will play a crucial role in the field of science and technology.

Based on this concept, “Japan Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science” (SAKURA Exchange Program in Science) is the program for enhancing exchanges between Asia and Japan of the youths who will play a crucial role in the future field of science and technology through the close collaboration of industry-academia-government by facilitating short-term visits of competent Asian youths to Japan. This program aims at raising the interest of Asian youths toward the leading Japanese science and technologies at Japanese universities, research institutions and private companies.

5. Visiting Student Research Program at NASA, USA

The California Institute of Technology invites domestic as well as international students to participate in the Visiting Student Research Program in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory NASA. The periods are flexible and the can choose and apply for the part-time and full-time programs.

The JPL Visiting Student Research Program offers research opportunities to students who have a compatible research interest with NASA JPL. Students will have an opportunity to collaborate with JPL scientists or engineers, who serve as the students’ mentors. Students complete designated projects outlined by their mentors, gaining educational experience in their fields of study while also contributing to NASA and JPL missions and science. In addition to that, students will also have the opportunity to participate in a number of enrichment activities, including tours, lectures and career advisement, arranged by the JPL Education Office.

6. 2020 Fully Funded Exchange Program in China, Thailand, Vietnam and Europe

Applications are open for the fully funded exchange program in China, Thailand, Vietnam and Europe. The exchange program will provide various activities for the participants, such as traveling, climbing, swimming, BBQ beach party, Chinese painting, calligraphy, paper-cut, picking fruits in the farm and etc. All of these activities are free for our volunteers.

7. British Petroleum STEM Scholarships 2020 (fully-funded Short School)

British Petroleum Scholarships is once in a lifetime opportunity for global academies to participate in a fully-funded four-week programs in Brazil, Egypt, India, and the USA focusing on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and global competence education. The goal of these scholarships is to provide this study abroad opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds and in need of financial support. This program is a joint initiative of British Petroleum and AFS Intercultural Programs.

10. Funded Oxford Public Speaking Summer School

Applications are now open for the Oxford Public Speaking Summer School 2020. The course will start with an exploration of the skills required to be a great public speaker, and learning the theory and methodology of public speaking. The history of public speaking will be examined, and students will analyze famous historical speeches also the methods that famous and contemporary speakers, such as Former President Barack Obama, employ. Students will then examine the reasoning and means by which speakers overcome anxiety when speaking in front of a crowd.
