AIESEC offers a volunteer opportunity as a Communication Officer in Jordan. The Events and Communication Officer will give press releases, manage communications and provide media support for any event by the JYIF. They will report directly to the JYIF project manager. They will be the active connection between members, team leaders and project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a communication strategy for the project, including social media.
  • Organize press conferences for the main cultural activities and reach out to the media regularly.
  • Draft press releases and prepare press kits in English and Arabic for each activity.
  • Ensure the production of a visual identity, a video and a radio spot for each cultural activity when writing of public speeches for JYIF Executive Director.
  • Establish communication material needs.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing demands for visibility material.
  • Produce and ensure wide distribution of material.
  • Send e-mail shots for advertising as well as e-invitations and paper invitations to audiences.
  • Ensure professional and swift photo and video coverage of all events.
  • Ensure photos and videos are delivered on the same day of the event.
  • Update the JYIF picture and video databases.
  • Create reports including infographics on a regular basis.
  • Create fresh, dynamic & regular content in Arabic and English for all JYIF online platforms.
  • Monitor social media activities.
  • Source technical service providers ahead of events (light, sound, stage, sound checks…)
  • In charge of all printed communication material for the events (types, sizes, quantity).
  • Ensure all printed communication material is at the venues (banners, rollups…).
  • Liaise with venues and partners when needed.
